SV MR0 Series

Safety Speed Monitoring Interface

General Information

PL e – SIL 3 safety speed monitoring interface

Both modules integrate:

  • Guided-contact safety relay
  • Selectable manual or Automatic restart
  • EDM feedback input for external contactors monitoring

Enable inputs used, for instance, when monitoring the same axis, in different working phases, with more modules configured with different thresholds

Faults are signalled by LED Fault and a PNP system status output. PNP status output indicating overspeed or underspeed thresholds crossing

SV MR0 and SV MR0 U integrates:

  • 2 inputs for PNP proximities switches
  • 3 front panel selectors allow configuration of the speed threshold

With its two-channel pulse evaluation system, the SV MR0 Series offers accurate and precise speed monitoring, making it an essential component for maintaining safety in automated processes. This safety controller adheres to stringent safety standards and regulations, such as EN ISO 13849-1 Performance-Level “e” and EN 62061 SIL “3,” ensuring optimal safety levels in diverse industrial environments. Trust the SV MR0 Series for efficient automation, reliable safety control, and effective speed monitoring with its integrated safety relay.

How Does the SVMR0 Overspeed Switching Function Work ?

When the selected frequency Fo is reached, the de-energization of output relays takes place. Once the value falls below the preset hysteresis value (Foh), the relays are switched on again. The internal relays’ normally open (NO) contacts are connected in series and linked to the terminals. If both relays are energized simultaneously, the current paths are closed, allowing control over devices such as a power contactor.

How Does the SVMR0 U Underspeed Switching Function Work ?

When the underspeed event is triggered (activated by a 10-second timer), the output relays are energized. These relays stay on until the frequency value exceeds the selected values. The normally open (NO) contacts of the internal relays are connected in series and linked to the terminals.
